Re: global changes in docs with tables

Try Edit:Select:Select All Document instead of Select All.

Re: Numbered Outline/Report Template

Er… I have never been using an outliner as an outliner, nor working with paragraph styles simulating the functionality of an application of that kind and I don’t understand well the discussions above. So it is very likely that I’m doing something pointless but perhaps macros in the zip archive below...

Re: Insert List Number . . .

is there a macro that could insert the list number based on the current list style? Does this work for you? ApplyPreviousListStyle_20110124_nwm.zip $doc = Document.active if $doc == undefined exit end $originalSel = $doc.textSelection if Select Previous List Item $style = $doc.textSelection.text.di...

Re: Close all closes Document Manager Too?

Any open document will be closed first. Your macro seems to close all open documents for the sole purpose of preventing them from being saved as PDF together with those which are going to be opened. So do I think but I may be wrong. Perhaps it makes you happy, very happy, very very happy to see the...

Re: Restricting macros to operate on specific paragraph styl

I modified the macro again. Thanks to getProperty command, I could simplify the code in the first “ foreach . . . end ” loop. This makes it easier to maintain the macro, e.g. fix a potential/real bug. As a side effect, not only for Paragraph Style but also for Character and List Styles, selections n...

Re: Copying Cell Attributes?

Selecting noncontiguous cells will do for now. If what you want to achieve is something like this, the macro below will help you by making such selections. You still have to apply cell attributes manually, though. table.png # Put the insertion point somewhere within a table and run the macro. # You...

Re: Automatic advance of Left Indent . . .

Unfortunately no proper command for changing Left Indent is available. We have headIndent as an Attributes Object Property which shows the value of headIndent but does not allow you to change it (i.e. it is not writable as you see in the Macro Reference). I tried to write a macro changing it by alte...

Re: Find and Replace Merge Field

I realized that the UI of the macro posted above is very, very bad, sorry. Now I just don’t understand why I designed it in such a way. You can and want to find something existent, so why not show Merge placeholder names existing in the frontmost document, among which you will be asked to specify wh...

Re: Restricting macros to operate on specific paragraph styl

The macro posted above was unnecessarily complicated. The cause of my writing such crappy code is that, for some reason I don’t remember, I thought it was necessary to add [a̱] and [¶] at the end of each style name. But why not add them at the top of style names??? Then, you don’t need using differe...

Re: Find and Replace Merge Field

No, Find and Replace does not work, unfortunately. Try the macro below instead. ReplaceMergePlaceholder_nwm_rev1.zip • If there is selection(s), the macro works as Replace All in Selection . • If there is no visible selection but an insertion point, the macro works as Replace All (in the whole docum...

Re: Macros don't work

Another page is being made by the macro where every step taken is being reported. Ah, sorry. I forgot to change $debugEnabled = true to $debugEnabled = false . I enabled this option while testing the new version of the macro. I corrected it in my previous posting and updated the attached macro file...

Re: Macros don't work

Ah, soft hyphen! I did not think of it. So here is yet another version which processes words containing soft hyphen and other few special characters correctly. It is a bit slower for it executes transliterateInRange commands against every and each word. CompleteWordList_nwm.zip And... I haven't trie...

Re: Macros don't work

3. It took 650 seconds (that's what it said when it was done). I’m very sorry to be too slow in reply. That’s my macro and I reproduced the problem. I seem to have posted a buggy macro as a revised version. I think I corrected it. Please try this one (macro file attached below) which finishes to ru...

Re: Change a set of letters for a set of others

I apologize to you and to others. Sorry, I should not have directed my irritation to you but to myself who spent the time to try to solve a macro problem looking interesting (my hobby) instead of spending it to do a headachy task: I have to index over 4,000 romanized words or sequences of words in s...

Re: Change a set of letters for a set of others

Maybe there is a bit a misunderstanding about the purpose of what I was looking for. Finally you disclosed your secret purpose. Sigh. You seem to expect someone other than you to be able to figure out your real purpose from your very poor description of your problem. Reread your postings in this th...
