Re: Spelling Dictionary Issues

I'm using Typinator -- the advantage is that it covers all apps.

Best regards

Re: Epub Export

Many thanks Martin for digging out the problem and (good grief!) explaining it!!!

Is this a first for a software company? Or maybe not for Nisus but certainly for lots of others?

I can't see why they would bother, but we'll see. :o

Re: I've got a two week window to download a newq version!

Thanks for the thought, guys. The only thing at this point is that I don't believe the latest Windows version of Canvas offers any significant improvements over Canvas X in areas I want so there's not much point in even trialling it. Up to X, the developers were making a big effort to provide more &...

Re: I've got a two week window to download a newq version!

Ah, that's fine, Martin, installed no problem whatsoever, but I was hoping for v.3 … :(

An impressive list of fixes and tweaks. I'll have to use NWP for more complex stuff so as to take advantage of them all! :P

Re: I've got a two week window to download a newq version!

Great news, Martin, slthough I have to admit I'm not at all interested in X.8 -- I'm just interested in the Nisus journey! I couldn't even claim even to using NWP to anywhere like its full potential as it stands, but with each upgrade, there's the possibility of a tweak or feature that will move me ...

I've got a two week window to download a newq version! :)

Hey folks, I'm back in Oz for two weeks on a fast Internet connection. Then back to Papua New Guinea for 8 months where the internet is slow, slow, slow. If you’re going to announce a new version, please make it within the next 10 days so I can download it before I go back. I mean, really, please! :...

Re: When will the next verson of NWP be released?

Hiya Hamid Note the last two words of this post: http://www.nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=22380#p22380 You mean Martin's post and the words "for now"? Oh yes, I got that at the time. But I’m basically a naughty little boy who likes to stir a bit and I’m going to be on the road and unable...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move

Obviously this shouldn’t happen and I have no solution in terms of NWP's capabilities.

There is a solution I can suggest, however -- don’t put graphics in the middle of text.

It ruins readablity.

Kind regards

When will the next verson of NWP be released?

I notice the current one was released in NWP May last year -- towards the end.

No need to be shy about it lads -- we're all waiting! :o

Re: Writing a book

Dear all I have been using Nisus as my main text editor since the mid-1990s and have always found it intuitive and powerful. I now have to write to book and since I have always heard Nisus touted as the long document editor, intend to use it. What I want to do is set up the document right from the ...

That would be a nice addition. Maybe a panel that could be added to the Tooldrawer?

Re: Lucida Grande and Italics

This kind of faking has been with us since the beginning of desktop computer time. Back in the day with the PS1/3 fonts, it didn't print or translate into PDF, because of the separation of screen and printer fonts. We DTPers quickly learned not to use the the italics and bold commands but to always ...

Re: Intermediate Face Font

I think you’re up against a SYSTEM short cut here, Emmanuel. What about compromising? Set command-s-b for semi-bold? You could also set up a character style with a keyboard short-cut, but not command-b, I think.
