Re: "big" "heavy" file
my guess is that your pictures are a too fine resolution, hence too large in (memory) size. for general use you could reduce the resolution and get a reasonable file. in case you need this high resolution, you will have to separate them from the file for any regular correspondence until the actual p...

Re: Why does line height mess with where first line starts?
It was a gamble, and one that Nisus lost.. unfortunately. It is , of course, a matter of taste - how one makes decisions. as I see it, when nisus people made that decision they preferred apple's text engine, which was faulty not only with non roman languages but also in other aspects merely on the b...

Re: Why does line height mess with where first line starts?
I hope you are right, concerning nisus deserting apple's text engine, but I am afraid this is no more than a wishful thinking.. after all, Nisus used to be No. 1 word processor before OSX while it used its own text engine, and for some unexplained reason chose to use apple's one with OSX... :( I can...

I think that fi you work frequently with word files, you should have neooffice on your mac and open doc files with it.

Re: 1.3 bug?
Sorry for not being clear. Nothing changes in the already typed text (luckily..) only the keyboard layout switches. Meaning - when you start typing after the computer wakes up, your keyboard is english and you have to switch back. It is, of course, not a disaster, but it is somewhat annoying. We hav...

1.3 bug?
While working in Hebrew in Nisus, if nisus is left open, and hebrew is the selected language, and the computer goes to sleep, the language is switched to English after waking up. We have noticed this only with NWP 1.3 . Can someone reproduce this behavior? is it the same in other non-english languag...

Re: Reverse Text Problem
Thanks for your detailed explanation. I think I understand well the balance of all options, and definitely understand that within all constrains, your solution is the simplest, and therefore most useful . There is one thing though, in which I do not quite agree with you. I think that the conversion ...

Re: Reverse Text Problem
I would appreciate an explanation here.. please, and do not be angry with my ignorance. Indeed, I have not worked with syriac fonts, but if I understand correctly (maybe I am wrong here..) the problem is that the ascii codes of the old fonts do not "belong" to the correct language, as were...

Re: Reverse Text Problem
I think, that a more thorough solution should be applied here. if unicode syriac fonts do exist, the incorporation of old classic files into NWP should involve conversion of ascii codes of the letters, which should result in automatic reversing the text, and the usage of the new standard fonts. Macr...

Re: Hebrew and English Text
this indeed can be done, but there will be no attachments between the 'chunks' of text. each cell should be edited separately. and I think that was the basic requirement of the first post. (That is, if I understood correctly).

Re: Hebrew and English Text
Do you mean that you want to select part of the english line and the corresponding hebrew part (like text and commentary?) if so, I think it is impossible. (but it has nothing to do with hebrew, it is impossible also is english-english lines).

Re: hebrew in snow leopard
I hope it means that we will be able to go back to pre-OSX era, when we had used nisus exclusively, for all our needs, without the need of bugs' bypasses.
