Can't print in Classic mode
Perhaps, rather than turning off all Extensions. Restart Classic with the "Basic" or "All" (i.e. only the standard minimum or maximum) sets and see what happens.

Crash when printing
I don't understand. If Nisus Writer is running in Classic, why would you even be able to "print in OS X" from Nisus Writer?
Have you set up your printer in Classic appropriately (Chooser, and all that)?

Count the number of replaced expressions
There is a command in Nisus Programming Dialect called "NumFound" For example, the three line macro: Find All "^.+" "g" Clipboard="There are "=NumFound+" Paragraphs in this document" :1 '\CC' will display the number found on the Clipboard. Try that.

Please restart your Classic environment with all Extensions turned off and see if that helps. Chances are pretty good that one of the Extensions conflicts.
