Enable Glossary name
Disable Glossary name
I suppose that would be a good idea. But it still doesn't answer the original question.
Martin, can we request these commands?

Re: enabling glossaries
From a computer program’s point of view, that has exactly the same effect as saving a file with another name. NWP is watching Glossaries folder and enables all glossary files which are not in the list of disabled glossaries
It seems to be a bit more complicated than that, perhaps invo...

Re: enabling glossaries
The macro doesn't save it. I save the glossary file manually with cmd-S. The glossary file in this case is typically one that I've moved (and possibly renamed) at the Finder level into the glossary folder while or before Nisus is running (it doesn't matter which). In Nisus, I then run my macro, and ...

enabling glossaries
I have a group of macros for manipulating glossary files, particularly adding entries without going to the preference pane and adding them manually. They use a common procedure that presents a list of glossaries and automatically selects the one corresponding to the current job while letting me sele...

shoulder as in "should"
Hello. I looked up "shoulder" in Nisus Thesaurus just now and was surprised to find such entries as shoulder (as in "should") v. : be expected to: "Parties should be fun" What gives? How does the thesaurus work if it returns such results? I even checked two paper dictio...

Re: first word of sentence not being capitalized
I figured something like that might be going on. For now I'll leave it as is, because the solution might be worse than the problem. Thank you. Ah, a follow-up question. If one changes the configuration inside the Nisus package as described, does that mean that the same change would need to be made m...

first word of sentence not being capitalized
I saw the thread on editing the list of words that aren't capitalized, but this is different. I don't know whether it is a bug, feature, or by-product of multilingual support, but... If you type "This is a sentence. the " or "See FIG. 6. the " "the" is correctly capital...

Re: calling macro within macro broke in 1.3
There must be even more going on somewhere. With additional fiddling, not changing how macro2 is called and variously turning extensions on and off in the Finder and DM, the problem comes and goes. Right now it's gone and extensions aren't shown in Finder or DM. This is before and after rebooting NW...

Re: calling macro within macro broke in 1.3
Ah, so some mystery is cleared up. However, it seems more complicated than just 1. Turning on "show file extensions" for your Document Manager (DM). I turned this on by unchecking the checkbox in the DM preference panel, and the problem repeated. Looking at the files in the Finder, the ext...

Re: calling macro within macro broke in 1.3
I just tried them again, and the same problem occurs whether the macro is called from the menu using the mouse or using a keyboard shortcut as usual.
I just sent the four macro files in a .zip to feedback.
This is on a 2-mth old MBPro with 10.5.7.

Re: calling macro within macro broke in 1.3
Further to my previous post, it seems that calling macro2 from macro1 causes macro2 to open for editing and not execute . Now obviated by the new operation of the Select Paragraph command, I used the Select Current Paragraph macro: Select Previous Paragraph Select Next Paragraph in a macro such as S...

calling macro within macro broke in 1.3
First, thanks for v1.3. I've already noticed some nice improvements. As part of my suite of glossary related macros, one I called "Load List of Glossary Files" is long and is called from several other macros. Basically all it does is get and filter all glossary files in the glossary folder...

Spell checker quits checking
For reasons unknown and with no pattern I can discern, NWP stops checking spelling as I type, even though "Check Spelling as You Type" remains enabled as usual. The only indication that this has happened is that the red dots under misspelled works stop appearing. NWP has not crashed, and e...

Expand Glossary problem
...which seems to be a bug. Glossary entries expand differently when triggered automatically (such as by the space bar) and when Edit:Expand Glossary is invoked. Assume the glossary entry "em" expanding to "embodiment". Type "em[space]" and you get "embodiment.&quo...
