Re: Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessar
You should be seeing such a prompt when you paste text with conflicting styles. At least, if you have your NWP preferences so that "On Style Conflicts" is set to "Always ask me what to do", which is the default. When the prompt appears and you click "Add Pasted Styles"...

Re: Both Character and Paragraph Styles replicate unnecessar
Hello Martin, Hello Cris This is an odd though logical behavior I meet with sometimes. I can reproduce it. I don’t think it is a real bug. I think it is the way NWP behaves in case of conflicting styles. Here is how to reproduce it: 1. I have a document (Document A) that contains a style named Norma...

Also a resettable session count. So you know how much you have written in a day or week or what have you.

Importing Styles in Style Sheet View
Style collections in Style Library Should not be expanded by default. To make myself clear: In style sheet view, click on Import from Style Library. A number of style collections will appear. Each collection is expanded by default. That makes a long list to scroll through if you have many collection...

Hi, Michael.
Just three steps:
Go to Nisus Writer Pro > Preferences.
Click on Appearance then select Automatic Text and List Items in the bottom pane.
Check Hide this Highlighting or select a new color.
Note: the shade is not printed.
Greetings, Henry.

Re: Best way to add space at top of page (e.g. chapter title
Hello, chronodm. I am afraid there is no straight way to it. I posted a feature request in the past. It was resuscitated some time ago. You are a plus one. I was thinking of something like in Mellel, i.e. a checkbox in the paragraph palette that allows for space before to be applied at section/docum...

Re: Cleaning up punctuation triggers but?
Here it is, along with the original NWP macro. I ran the macro on it minutes ago and the result is always the same. Note that, though I use a modified version of the macro, I left line 11 quite intact. I only substituted \s+ for \s* when I realized it was causing the glitch. Also, \s* uselessly forc...

Cleaning up punctuation triggers but?
For years I have used a modified version of the Cleaning up Punctuation macro that comes with NWP. From v. 2.0.4 on I noticed a strange behavior caused by an apparent bug in line 11 (of the original version.) The line runs thus: Find and Replace ‘\s*([,.;:\!\?])‘, ‘\1’, ‘aE’ I think that \s* should ...

Re: Can I "lock" a page so it will not change during editing
What if you export the document to pdf, extract the page(s) with graphics using Preview, and then import them back into the doc as images?

Re: Can I "lock" a page so it will not change during editing
Hello, mycroft. If I get it right, you want to isolate one or more pages in a longer document. My first reaction was to suggest inserting a page break or a section break to the next page before and after, but you rule that out. I can’t see why. A break will cause the page to shift back or forth by w...

Italian hyphenation not working
I’m sorry to point out that the Italian hyphenation isn’t working. There are too many errors. These are a few samples: s-pero (correct: spe-ro) primav-era (prima-vera) attenzi-one (attenzio-ne) This is the same text as hyphenated by Nwp Nisus hyph.jpg and by OpenOffice Ooo hyph.jpg The document is t...
