Re: The box from old Nisus.
Forever is a harsh word... but it hasn't been there since the introduction of the new Nisus (express/pro).

Re: page number increment other than 1
yes, thanks. The solution is indeed straightforward. and I agree concerning the comparison with the alternative with DTP . one should always be grateful that we are past the typing machines/printing era.

Re: page number increment other than 1
yes. if I were.. The problem is, that this guy is publishing text and its translation, and is putting the two texts in a parallel on two sides of the book. In nisus classic he just used an increment of two, and arranged the pages after printing. Indeed he needs a page editor for that- but I don't th...

Is there a way in NWP to set page numbers with increments other than 1 (i.e. 2..)? I was asked this question by someone who is converting from nisus classic and had been using this option with NC..
thanks in advance..

Re: Current Trial for Nisus Writer Pro
I think you may have old nisus writer files (from the pre-OSX days) and not nisus writer express, which is a OSX software. Isn't it the case? In any case, I would recommend you to save copies of the old files, no matter what you decide to do later. it is a safer habit than converting the only copy.....

Re: Nisus versus the future
Just keep in mind that there is no rose garden promised in the end of this process. Eventually, you will have to upgrade, either your word processor, or your system (or both..) and you will certainly have conversion problems. NWP is no exception, I know from my own experience. as much as I like nisu...

Re: Nisus versus the future
I think trying to assume that any standard will last forever is not wise.. RTF may be obsolete in just a few years. as someone who has been working with academic text files on mac since the mid-eighties, I must say the the problem of your friend is so very familiar.. on the other hand, limiting your...

Were these macros which you composed or macros that came with previous versions of nisus?

In case anyone would like to have an english translation of the link above, I will post it here, just let me know. I do know of some other users who have tried to use hspell with nisus under SL, and failed as well.

Re: Hspell
I understand from what you are writing that english spelling does work? I can not test it myself as I have not installed SL (yet) but I would imagine that spelling details should be reset in nisus, especially if you have used the same dictionary but with different version. In any case it would be a ...
