Kerning

Does the Kerning command work? It doesn't seem to do anything.

I've tried the command both with the cursor between 2 characters and with the 2 characters selected.

"Find" shortcut & dialog: feature request

The "Find Previous" shortcut key (shift-cmd-G) doesn’t do anything if the Find dialog's Where popup is set to "here to end". Likewise, the "Find Next" shortcut key (cmd-G) doesn’t do anything if the Find dialog's Where popup is set to "here to start". I think ...

While you're fixing the copy-paste bug, can you please eliminate the insertion of a space when text is pasted immediately after an open quotation mark?

The Do Menu Macro command can open the Find dialog, but it cannot paste text into the Find and Replace fields. Below is an AppleScript to do this using Apple's awkward GUI Scripting commands. Even GUI Scripting cannot set the setting of the Using popup menu to Power Find Pro because Nisus did not us...

I just experienced this problem! All my tables became invisible in "Page view" and when printed, but remained visible in "Draft view". One pair of tables were side-by-side in two columns, but the rest of the document, including several additional tables, was in one column. The ta...

I second that. We need line numbering. It does not matter whether it is implemented as a graphic overlay. As a work-around, you can print a NWE document to PDF, then overlay it with a pleading paper image using either the overlay feature of PDFpen ($50) or the Add Background feature of Acrobat Profe...

You can create character styles for subscript and superscript and set the font size and baseline shift. can this be applied in NWE to fix irregular line spacing? Unfortunately, no. It only solves the problem of the font size being too small with the built-in subscript and superscript character attr...

Mellel and Apple's Pages both handle subscripts correctly. Only NWE and TextEdit have this problem. As "rev" said, the problem is that attempting to lower the baseline of selected characters does not affect the selected characters, but instead raises the baseline of all other characters in...

Subscript/Superscript styles & shortcuts

I agree that the default subscript and superscript attributes make the size too small and shift the baseline too much. My solution is to define a Subscript character style with the baseline shift and font size (e.g., two points smaller than your normal font) you prefer. The character style can inclu...
