Re: Newbie: How to insert text box?
Yes, I am using 2.0 of NWP. It might be worth it (for many features) to upgrade your copy.

Re: Newbie: How to insert text box?
On the Toolbar next to the Navigator button (see NWP001).
Click that button: It will tell you to draw the text box anywhere (NWP002)
Completed (NWP003), note that it is anchored to whatever paragraph was selected (far left side).
(Well, my images come out in reverse order, but you get the idea.)

Re: Problem: resized margins not reflected in Table of Conte
Martin, just a question. Would it help to have a separate section for the TOC, which would allow independent page margins for each section? Would the TOC still update properly (apart from page margin conditions)? That might be asolution.

Re: NWP 2.0.2
Did you use the Dock's "Show in Finder" contextual menu to verify that you only have one copy of NWP on your computer? If that checks out, then you might try rebuilding your OSX launch services database; it's the part of OSX responsible for generating those "Open With" menus. Ye...

Re: NWP 2.0.2
With the two instances of NWP showing in the Ctrl+Click scenario. If the file I do that with is .rtf, then only one instance of NWP shows up. If it is .doc, .odt, .mellel, then NWP shows up twice. The only application to ever do that, and only since upgrading to 2.0.2.

Re: NWP 2.0.2
It's possible that you have an extra copy of NWP on your hard drive somewhere. If you launch both, you can use the Dock's contextual menu Options > Show in Finder to figure out where they are. Thanks, Martin. A couple follow on questions. When I look in the Applications folder, there is only one in...

Re: NWP 2.0.2
I restored the New Nisus New File.dot from my backup, in the Nisus Writer Folder. Interestingly, then when I went to Nisus Writer Pro folder, the alias there was updated (i.e. the alias went in the right direction). So now, seems to work correctly.
Thanks, Hamid.
Thanks, Hamid.

Re: NWP 2.0.2
Thanks. I found those two folders in the Application Support folder. But the Nisus Writer folder has the .dot file but it is only an alias that points to the new file in the Nisus Writer Pro folder. Thus, the link seems to go in the opposite direction. So the next question is, is it okay to delete t...

NWP 2.0.2
Well, that wasn’t so good. I downloaded 2.0.2 and did the usual Replace (2.0.1) when installing. However, it wiped out my Nisus New File.dot file. So I had to recreate. Had it taken any longer i would have fired up my backup drive. But this is the first time that upgrading with NWP has done this. Is...

Re: iPad compatible NWP?
Also I do not understand why Apple didn't make it possible to do some file management on the iPad with Terminal or something like that, for example to remove the previous recipients file from iPad Mail. And I agree with what you say, Dirk Barends. It exasperates me not to be able not only to remove...

inconsistent dropper formatting
NWP 2.0.1 public beta 2 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 It seems that the dropper can add attributes in some cases and not others. For instance, I have some text I want to change that has italic (for the entire paragraph). The text I want to copy has a different font and no italic. When I select that second ...

Re: A Very Simple (too simple) Style Question
Howdy. If you go to Preferences > New File > Advanced. On the right side, click on “Open for Editing”. That opens the Nisus New File.dot. Then create styles as you normally would. When you are finished, then you can save that Nisus New File. Close the preferences. From now on, every new document wil...

I, too, am using SpellCatcher with NWP 2.0. No problems.

No need to use the terminal. Just follow the directions about Onyx use.
