Martin, in response to the last part of your question, my last two searches in which the bug appeared were searches for "13" and "Hz". The scope was Entire File, and both Whole Word and Case Sensitive were turned off.

sample document

I would have attached the document to the feedback report, but it is confidential. Tonight I'll look for a non-confidential example.

I'll assume submitting another feedback report is the best way to forward the example document unless you instruct me otherwise.

BUG: Normal Find misses most occurrences

I discovered that Normal Find works correctly if I use the Find All or Replace All buttons, but misses most occurrences of the search string if I use Next or command-G. PowerFind does not have this problem. This has happened in several documents. The current document is 6300 words or 40,000 characte...

I'm happy to confirm that you fixed the problem with tables in columns. Now a legend above (ie, outside) the table wraps properly within its column if it is too long to fit on a single line, and a table cannot be widened beyond the column width.

Great work, Nisus team! Thanks!

Re: How Do You Mean Proprietary?

NWE's native RTF format can be opened by users of Word, TextEdit, and many other apps. Mellel's native format cannot be opened by any other program.

Try opening the Word file in TextEdit, then copy/paste to NWE.

Re: Import of Word Documents, tracking, table of contents &a

I have tried to import my letterhead from word but my graphic does not appear to import. Try copy and paste. If that doesn't work, try opening the Word document in NWE and then copy/paste the logo from that to a blank Nisus document. Cumbersome alternative: Print your Nisus document to PDF, then us...

Nisus will auto correct my common misspellings e.g., t e h for the, which Mellel does not currently do. Unfortunately, neither has the great auto-complete feature that Neo/OpenOffice does. The current implementation of that in Nisus is not usable. SpellCatcher has a great Auto-Complete feature, whi...

A more general bug is that changing the zoom to a custom value often leaves the previous value displayed in the zoom popup in the lower right corner.

Every Mac program I've ever used leaves the clipboard unmodified if you attempt to copy nothing. That is, a Copy command is ignored if nothing is selected.

This is important to me, too. I often refer to one part of a document when editing another part.

My solution is to duplicate the document in the Finder.

Document Comparison v. Change Tracking

I'm surprised no developer has come up with a simple utility to independently track changes between versions of documents -- and Nisus needs to make this feature a priority in the next release. A whole segment of the user base (e.g., attorneys) will stay away without this feature. As an attorney, m...

Yes, that would be wonderful. Thanks!

Duplicate Paragraph Styles

I haven't figured out what I'm doing to cause this, but occasionally I discover that duplicates have been created of some of my paragraph styles. The duplicates have the same name as the original style but with a suffix of 1, 2, etc. This is a nuisance because, before deleting the duplicate style, I...

Kerning

Does the Kerning command work? It doesn't seem to do anything.

I've tried the command both with the cursor between 2 characters and with the 2 characters selected.
