The Macro recorder function was available in the old versions of Nisus Writer Pro.
Do you think it would be s good feature to have so that we could use it for contextual menu items such as save as, etc that the current macro language cannot handle?
Your thoughts!
Thanks,
David

Convert Bold and Italics to normal
Hi , I have two question. For a rind and Replace you can make a selected word Bold or italics . How can you do the opposite. Is there a not command or special syntax. To get a bold or italic word without those formats? Also if you macroize in Find and Replace you have two separate macros one for fin...

Re: Macro for Exporting or Save as Plain Text
Phillip, Then I take it that the Nisus Macro menu cannot produce the second argument to do a save as plaintext. Is there a work around just using the Nisus Macro Language? Could you use AppleScript to do a save as plaintext in Nisus? Or could you use an app like keyboard maestro to achieve this with...

Re: Macro for Exporting or Save as Plain Text
I was thinking that if all menu commands can be made into macros then it would be possible to save as plaintext in the for of a macro or does menu command only apply to a defined set of that can be used as macros
Thanks,
David

Macro for counting frequency of Words used in a document
Hi,
I know there is a word count Macro bout I would like to be able to arrange in a list the words used in a document in descending order by the frequency of usage. Is there one available ? Or can you get me started in creating one.
Thanks,
David

Re: Macro for Exporting or Save as Plain Text
CapVideo and Phillip Thank You. I will have to study up a bit more on the macro syntax. My whole intention or goal is to use Nisus using basic styles eg bold, italics, header 1,2,3 lists and tables then convert to markdown and then save as plain text. I was able to use some of the macros to chage th...

Macro for Exporting or Save as Plain Text
Can a macro be created that will save a Nisus doc as plain text or export to plain text with Unicode 8 text encoding.
And what would it look like?
Thanks

Re: Macro for RTF to Markfown
Phillip,
Thank You, This is good information . I am new to using Macros with Nisus and was using MMD in other apps and needed help with getting over a sticking point.
I now have something that I can experiment with.
Thanks again.

Re: RTF to Markdown
Kosaka,
I would like to see if you came up with the RTF to MMD MACRO yet. It would be a great contribution.

Re: Macro for RTF to Markfown
What I would like to do is strip out all the extra stuff I guess it is meta data of an rtf file created in Nisus and convert it it to a a markdown/multi markdown
file with MMD syntax.
Does that make sense or is there another strategy that can be taken?

Macro for RTF to Markfown
Hi,
I wonder if it I'd possible to create a Macro to convert Nisus RTF to Markdown.
Or do you know of a workflow besides just writing in. Nisus in plaintext using Markdown syntax .
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
