Remove Keywords
A demon entered while I was asleep and added several keywords to about 400 rtf files. Keywords as in Finder keywords. Of course I want to get rid of these, since they reflect a dark and strange view of the universe. These keywords are editable via File > Properties, of course. How difficult would it...

TextSoap
Pardon my ignorance, but:
Is anyone able to explain what TextSoap can do that Nisus macros can't?
Thanks

Re: Converting MMD syntax to RTF
... A macro cannot create a style object from nothing and it cannot apply a style that the document does not have. Sorry. This is the part I missed. Yes, it is much easier to use the Style Library (or copy/paste into a new doc based on a template). I don’t know about MMD either. However, it is poss...

Re: Converting MMD syntax to RTF
These macros are very helpful. Thank you, Kino. The only trouble I have is that the two Paragraph macros seem to rely on having TOC styles in place. That is, text marked with # and ## does not acquire the paragraph styles if they do not also have TOC styles. For me, though, this just provokes anothe...

Re: Background color (not really again)
Thank you , Kino. This is a (sometimes helpful) kludge that makes life a bit better, but as you say it's not really so good. Wherever there is no text, there is white space. Not a very acceptable end-product. I confess I don't understand why apparently so few people realize the value of having such ...

Background color (not really again)
Well, I know that I can't have background color in Page VIew (the only place to see/work on footnotes...boo), but it seems also impossible to set background color for a document so that a generated PDF will have this color. Is there a way around this perhaps? I find that for reading text on-screen (...

Re: Paper size macro?
Kino, you've anticipated my every wish.
If I thought it appropriate, i would have asked for this versatility. Fortunately, you got there first.
This is just the thing.
Thanks again.

Re: Paper size macro?
Thanks for the tip, Martin.
I'm dealing with pure text files which have minimal formatting. So I take it the danger you mention is moot for me at the moment.
But are there examples of such "arbitrary binary data" other than images that one ought to watch out for?
Thanks

Re: Paper size macro?
Thank you, Kino. This is fabulous. I don't know how you manage to perform such minor miracles, and so quickly. All I can say is Nisus don't pay you enough. I've made just a small change so that the newly created file has a different 'suffix' added. Just personal taste. (For me this is serious progra...

Paper size macro?
I have a few hundred rtf files with the paper size (in File -> Page Setup) set to something ridiculously small. I'd like to change all of these to US Letter. Is it possible to put together a macro or applescript to do this so that I can avoid opening each one individually and making the changes manu...

Re: Keyboard/Language
Dear Kino This is quite a welcome back! I see you are still the generous magician. Thank you. Unfortunately, I get this Error message (I named macro 'LanguageKeyboard'): There was an error on line 20 in the macro "LanguageKeyboard". The "apply" property requires an object, instea...

Keyboard/Language
Hi I have the keyboard shortcut Command-Space Bar set to switch to the most recent previous keyboard layout used ('Select Previous Input Source' in System Preferences). This is great because it allows me to move easily back and forth between two keyboards. But I prefer to use these two keyboards wit...

Re: Customizable Background Color in Page View?
Periodically I check in to see whether the current version of NWPro allows custom background color in Page View. I see that it still doesn't. It's now been 7 months since Martin told us he would bring this idea up again, so I thought I'd ask whether this idea has been discarded altogether. Adding a ...
