The competition is more generous here. Redlers... or is it RedleX... well, the Mellel guys, explicitly state in their license text that one license can be used on more than one machine, granted it is not used simultaneously by two or more users. The per-machine license model is not uncommon (e.g. iC...

That finally addresses my issue with the navigator not shown on startup. Ever since beta 1 I always work with the navigator, and I always found it cumbersome to have to set it to visible and table of contents manually. However, I think there should be an option for this in the view tab of this prefe...

I noted that too; little to do here, except get in touch with our feminine side :D.

I guess Nisus could change it to the more awkawrd "Lizenznehmer(-in)" or something in that fashion.

Cheers,
Martin

Hi again, and thanks, but that RSS feed only gives you the latest news. There is also one for the blog. What I meant was a feed for the forum, so that you get new posts to the forum directly to your RSS reader. As I mentioned, OMNI does that, so you don't have to go to the Website and check for new ...

Probably the wrong forum

Hi, first: congratulations and thanks for the final release of Nisus Writer Pro! I have used Pro since Beta one and it is my tool of choice for my word processing (mostly writing manuscripts for scientific publications). I love the navigator. Now, if you could only add support for Sente... Anyway, w...

Hi, Mark, thanks for your advice. I guess I will send Nisus a copy of the document. However I have found a bizarre workaround for this bizarre probelm. I saved the RTF in Nisus (even with the Helvetica font), then opened it in Word - surprisingly, no Helvetica here, but exactly the formatting I spec...

funny style sthing

Hello! I encounter some funny behaviour here. I have a document that once was a word .doc file. I have importet that in NWE and safed it as RTF. Opening the RTF all the fonts are changed ; from Times to Helvetica that is. I have defined styles (in NWE; I removed all the Word styles that came ...

Re: tanks

If you go to the plug in page for KeyNote http://commons.ucalgary.ca/~king/projects/keynoteplugins/linkback/ there has been a message (for at least a month) how the guy is working on one for KN3... Hmmmmm... I think this message has been there for quite a while now. But I can imagine that it is dis...

Integration with both Sente and Bookends would be good. I asked for that once on this forum, but my plea remained completely unheard  Seriously, wish for integration with reference management software came up in several threads now, and I really think it is one of the things that should be con...

It's the same with e.g. Swedish. The funny thing is, that some Cocoa apps take these things directly from the system preferences (I've noted this behaviour in Cashbox, a small freeware app for financial tracking). However, I guess it doesn't make sense to implement that in a multilingual textprocess...

the vanishing scroll bar

Beta 9 has a funny little bug. When opening a doc in draft view, or just switching back to a window with a doc in draft view, the scrollbar is gone. You have to switch to page view and then back to draft view to get it back.

Thanks for the help.

But still, I would like to address a request to Nisus to implement the possibility for special margin settings for first (or last) pages in one of the next versions.

Different margin on first page

I am preparing a manuscript for a journal and struggling with their author instructions. I am supposed to leave a 7.5 cm top margin on the first page, but only 2.5 on all subsequent. Is there any way to do this in NisusWriter Express? Seems like I only can adjust global values, i.e. if I set the mar...

I haven't found anything like this either, but I, too, am one of those who desparately needs it. As a PhD student I'm writing manuscripts with a reference section. When you're finished and want to check if everything is cited properly, multiple views of one document would REALLY come in handy. What ...

The internal error when adjusting footnotes seems to be a more common problem. I stumbled into it with beta 4. Now I feel a bit bad because I didn't send feedback back then...
