Re: NWP and iOS: About Back&Forth-ing
Will I lose any NWP-specific formatting , if I trade Nisus's .rtf's back and forth between NWP on Mac and an .rtf app on iOS? Yes, you will lose NWP-specific styles. All defined styles will be removed from the style sheet. Emphatic and Strong will appear as manually applied italic and bold respecti...

Re: Imported footnotes from say docx files?
It may be that your import filters need to be set correctly to give a more complete import.
Set the filters to LibreOffice from NWP Preferences=>Advanced.

Re: Get Info- Open With... Damages File?
I get something similar with Get Info: The file "filename.rtf" could not be opened. There were problems that prevented us from opening the document. Send the file to Nisus Software for analysis. However, if I duplicate the same file in the Finder (Command-D), the copy of the file opens wit...

Re: Footnotes from within tables?
[...]And now going out more on a limb here, because I don't use Arabic. Is it not possible to arrange the poetry using tabs? Obviously the macro seems to be written for paragraph wide justification, but perhaps that problem can be solved. If you used tabs, footnotes would become a non-issue. But ob...

Re: problem with disappearing footnotes
If you edit and/or save a Nisus document with footnotes/endnotes in TextEdit, notes will be lost because TextEdit does not support notes. You can recover your document by opening the damaged file in NWP and using its Versions feature (from the File:Revert to:Browse All Versions...). You can also rec...

I wonder if setting Automatic Content Update Prefereces (from the Tools:Automatic Content menu) for Cross References to 'When Printing / Saving PDF' will help.

Re: Error on first new file (language issue)
It seems that before you customised your keyboard setup, the Nisus New File template was set to open with the British keyboard layout. Then, from the System Preferences> Keyboard>Input Sources, you removed the British keyboard layout. This is why every time you create a new document, you get the mes...

Re: Problem with vanished URL on opening a Word document
The URL is visible in page view; it is in the header. In draft view it is not visible as the it is in the header.
Also, it is visible if you QuickLook the original docx file.

That is a bug in the Open dialog which needs fixing; in the meantime, in the Open dialog, uncheck the 'Ignore Rich Text Command' box before opening the template.

Re: Symbol instead of space when copying from Hebrew pdf
If the dagger symbol occurs consistently you can use PowerFind Pro to replace it.
In 'Find what' box enter \x{2020}
In 'Replace with' box enter \x{0020}
Press the 'Replace All' button.
Run this on a test copy of the file.
