Re: paragraph shading overlaps floating images
and use the new nisus document with selection service, you'll end up with a mess... whereas NWP 1 would have yielded a perfect rendition! I tried this and am puzzled -- my result ignores all formatting of any sort. I just get plain ASCI text, black on white, all the same size. I don't think this is...

Re: paragraph shading overlaps floating images
This is a bug; the paragraph shading shouldn't draw on top of the floating image, Hi Martin, I've just discovered this bug. I have a page that has a shape drawn on it, and am using 'paragraph shading' to give a background color to the page. My shape is invisible behind the shading no matter what I ...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move
Have you tried to save it to PS only? Does the Nisus file's image jump then? Then open Acrobat Distiller to convert the PS file to PDF? Wizardiaoan, I'm not sure I understand your question. If you read the previous several posts you'll see that I am saving both the PS and to PDF, because each one h...

Re: Can main text flow past stationary graphic page?
I don't think using the macro requires much thought: just select the line you'd like to fully justify and run the macro once. So perhaps there's something special about your text that's causing the failure. Would you be able to send me a snippet that reproduces the failed macro run? Thanks Steven. ...

Re: Can main text flow past stationary graphic page?
In the meantime, you can workaround the limitation using a macro. It's rather inconvenient, as you'll have to reapply the macro each time you'd like to re-justify your text, but it will work if you really need the feature. I'm attaching the macro here. Thanks Martin. I downloaded and tried both mac...

Re: Can main text flow past stationary graphic page?
I have seen other w-ps or software that can do both "Justified" as a normal paragraph, and "Fully Justified" for situations like this of breaking the page or inserting a page-width inline graphic as a new paragraph but retaining the full line length of the line immediately prece...

Re: Can main text flow past stationary graphic page?
So even though you already mentioned that you don't want to use page breaks and manually manage how the text lands on each page, I think that's the only feasible option for a full page graphic like you want. Sorry about that. First, I request this feature, because it seems to me a common need (or, ...

Re: Can main text flow past stationary graphic page?
Hi Steven, You say "full single page graphic", but mentioned placing it inline, so is it true that your graphic will stay entirely within the margins? Yes, I can do that; I can change the size slightly, and make it full page within the margins. Also, will your graphic always come after th...

Can main text flow past stationary graphic page?
Hi, I'm wanting to set up something that's standard in publishing: a full single page graphic, with the rest of the body text flowing before and after it, completely filling all the other pages. I've tried various ways, and can't seem to get it to work. Is there some simple way? To clarify: I don't ...

Re: Space before paragraph and ruler origin
You’re restoring hope. . Greetings Henry, Alas, we may never get more than hope on this one. So I'll note a cludge workaround I'm using (which you may have found): if I change the line spacing, instead of the 'before', I find that I can control spacing before, after a section. This is only good for...

Re: Footnote ruler page view jumps offscreen
I get back to the place where I was by pressing ⌘[ (Edit:Select:Previous Selection). Thank you Hamid. I had discovered the 'back' button did this (which allowed me to finish my edits), but couldn't find a key combination for it. It should be relatively painless from now on with the command key -- a...

Re:
Blank return is OK, that is what I have been doing so far. But it is a workaround nonetheless. I hope people at Nisus will follow my suggestion and add that tiny checkbox. Cheers, Henry. 5 years later: there is still no honoring of 'space before' immediately after a section. I'm having trouble like...

Footnote ruler page view jumps offscreen
Hi, I believe this is a bug and it's quite irritating; I'm hoping you can help: I have footnotes, and I'm adjusting the tab stops in them using the ruler at the top of the screen. Often what happens is that as soon as I let go of the tab stop (after adjusting it) the Page View screen view scrolls (j...

Re: Endnotes To Footnotes Bugs - multiples instances; column
In an additional test, I produced the behaviour of Bug 1 (the multiples) much more simply as follows: 1. Keeping original Endnotes of document (no change to Footnotes this time), change Endnote style to multiple per line (uncheck 'one per line'). 2. Quit and re-open. 3. The entire list of 70 endnote...
