Paste Text Only - Feature Request
The menu option to Paste Text Only is found in the Edit menu and the Clipboard Tag on the status bar, but the option to Paste Text Only is NOT found if you use the contextual menu option by right clicking on the page. There only the basic Cut, Copy, and Paste options are found. It would be great if ...

Re: Language Settings in Preferences
This question will reveal why I didn't come up with a "macro solution" on my own! I ran the macro and it did not work because the menu under Format:Size does not have 16 listed. I changed the macro instruction to 18 and it worked perfected as 18 is there in the menu. What command would nee...

Re: Language Settings in Preferences
Thank you! I appreciate both knowing the feature is in the future plans and the suggestion of a much more pleasant work around in the interim. I look forward to using the macro (, but even more to the addition of the feature!). This is why I tell everybody I know to give NWP a try. The product is tr...

Language Settings in Preferences
When switching between two languages (English and Hebrew in this case), the font size set in the Languages section of the Preferences does not work as expected. If writing in English (12 pt. Palatino based on style selection) and I switch languages to Hebrew (set with secondary font as New Peninim M...

Re: Language setting
This has been a topic of much discussion. The first thing I would suggest you check is the language setting in the system. You should have the Mac OS language set (via the international pane of systems preferences) to British English, and British English should be the first language in the list. For...

Re: Hebrew letters and numbers
Just since these posts were first made, I've been experiencing this problem regularly. I have found an alternative solution that has been working very well for me. I've outlined it below. After typing some Hebrew text in a mixed language document: 1. Return the language selection to English 2. Via t...

Re: Different color for Hebrew letter and vowel (nikkud)
Thanks for the replies. I was sure I must have missed some option, but it appears we shall have to wait for this to be addressed. So, Martin et al, it's an official request. We definitely need to be able to color vowels and letters separately.
Thanks!

Re: Formatting(Layout): delete(eliminate) " return in the line "
I'm not sure how to strip the returns within the copy & paste process, but it would be possible to find and replace them after the paste. Using the powerfind expression "\n" for the return and then using a space in the replace with box you can remove each of the unnecessary returns. (T...

Different color for Hebrew letter and vowel (nikkud)
For pedagogical reasons, I'd like to occasionally be able to color a vowel separately from it's associated consonant in Hebrew. Using a Unicode font such as New Peninim, I cannot color them separately. Any ideas how to accomplish this?
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Hebrew letters and numbers
I looked at this problem and reported it before back under NWE and found that it also occurs in Text Edit which would indicate that it is in Apple's text engine. The solution many of us have used is to insert a extra character and change the character color to white in order to allow printed texts t...

Re: Directionality Markers show in print
I cannot reproduce this occurrence. Although I do not normally insert the directionality markers (I use keyboard shortcuts to move back and forth between Eng. and Heb.) I tried it just now and could not produce the anomaly you describe. Have you tried switching via Format > Language or the Language ...

Re: Misformed Hebrew Shin and Sin
I tried this on Leopard and could not reproduce the error. I have seen this kind of problem before but usually with the presence of an accent over the letter.

Re: Does not save spelling option for English (US)
I was not able to replicate this with NWP 1.1. NWP maintained the preference for spelling (whether on or off) in several documents. If you are wanting this behavior in a new document the setting would need to be done in the New File settings (under Preferences in the NWP menu.
