Re: NW for iPad?

Re: NW for iPad?
Thanks for the tips, I'll try as soon as I am back home – this "not being able to read Nisus .rtf files" has made buying the iPad useless for the time being, for me at least. I am now working at the British Library… with my MacBook. I was expecting not to need dragging it around any longer.

Re: What about: "Export/Save as ePub"
We currently don't have any plans to release software for the iPad, but we are always evaluating the situation. For those users that are interested in such a thing, what kind of writing would you want to do on the go? Martin, mainly short one page letters (open standard company letter file, save as...

Re: Why is NWP so painfully slow?
Wouldn't the simple solution here be to split the document in two? I work with huge single files, and I love Nisus because it's quick and sure. As I have few notes, I don't have to split it, but it's what I should do, I think, if I had a document as gigantic as germandaddy! These were my 5 cents of ...

Re: NWP Document Templates save as Microsoft Word Templates
I should like to insist here: why do templates created in Nisus open as Word documents? I always say I do not have Word on my computer, but since this has been happening I discovered that I do have a very old copy tucked away in a corner, probably by my daughter, at a time when she thought, as young...

Re: NWP Document Templates save as Microsoft Word Templates
So did mine - I thought it was a wrong manipulation of mine. Is there a better way to go back to the original without reinstalling NWP 1.2? I know I can always open the template from Nisus with «Open» instead of just clicking on the file, but still...

Re: Nisus Writer Pro 1.3 is now available
Well, I would have made my usual vertical ruler gag, but Martin launched a preemptive strike there, and being somehow ashamed, I am sure, that one of the original features, which people ask for again and again, is still missing, he thought that if he mentioned it we would no longer think about poor ...

Re: Reformatting existing footnote references
What about changint footnotes into endnotes?
I ended up doing this manually, but I am sure there must be another way.

Re: large document limitations?
I also wrote whole books (over one million signs sometimes) in one single file without the slightest hitch.
And I recently collected half Goethe's works in one (huge) file too… No problem.
The documents are slightly slower than 2-3 pages ones, but to the point of irritating me.

Re: When will NWP 1.3 going to be published?
And to think I believed “vertical ruler” was unmentionable… I must say after I insisted for a couple of years to get “back-up in another location” I got it (and you with me), and together with my mac.me disk it simplifies my work unbelievably. I'm constantly on the move, and I always have the...

Re: Desired NWP 1.3 features
Well, boys and girls, two pages (2) of desired new features, and NO ONE asked for a vertical ruler yet? Really! Maybe someone from NSI does read this thread ( do you?), and will take heed of this wish in NWP 1.3. I agree with all of you who say we have practically caught up with Nisus Classic...

AFTERTHOUGHT: might one ask our Nisus friends WHY there is no vertical ruler, it seems so elementary - I don't care as much as others, but the questions does beg to be asked…

All right, vertical ruler might be missing and would be great to have, but BACK UP TO ANOTHER LOCATION IS THERE.

Re: Desired NWP1.2 Features
TheWolfgant wrote Incidentally, Anne's review (in French) of the first release of NWP was a magnificent analysis and tribute to the software. And Anne is the author, also in French, of two books featuring as its heroine an investigator named, appropriately enough, Marie Machiavelli. Thank you TWG. ...
