What about some kind of "import Styles" that can override/replace the styles attaced to the document? Currently there's nothing like that, but I think it's definitely a good idea to have some way to quickly update styles in old documents. I've put in a feature request for this. As for wha...

One thing to consider is that we realize people hate overformatted HTML emails. We wouldn't stuff tons of graphics, animated icons, javascripts, Flash, ActiveX, or other such nonsense into our newsletter. What we're talking about here is adding some formatting that makes the newsletter easier to rea...

Hello. Styles should be preserved when you open files in Word. What file format are you using to save your files (RTF is the default)? And what version of Word are you trying to open the file in?

Hello Parelius. I'm sorry to tell you that what you want is not possible. Styles are saved on a per document basis. So even though every document you make has a style called "H2", each document's "H2" is completely independant from the others. If you want to make a change to &quo...

In what format do you prefer to receive the Nisus newsletter

We're thinking about letting each subscriber choose the format they receive the newsletter in. But for now, since we only have one newsletter, which format do you prefer?

Hi Andy-- We're aware of the frustration the automatic insertion has caused our users. And indeed, currently there is no way for the user to remove it. Clearing this annoyance is definitely on the list of fixes for next release.

This bug where "Replace All" works properly but "Replace" does not has been fixed internally. No doubt the next version released will work properly in this respect. have the two been implemented as completely independent code? That's the only reason I can figure for Replace All w...

I just tested this in version 2.1.1 and it seems to be working. Are you using 2.1.1? What shading combination are you using exactly? And finally, what file format are you using to save the document?

Sorry Geoff, but at this time there is no way to exactly specify table column sizes, you just have to "eyeball it". Also, while you can automatically equalize the width of adjacent columns, you will not be able to equalize columns that are not neighbors.

Hello Georges, I've had no luck in reproducing your bug. If I type something like: "Redd and blue make purplee" Then I bring up the spelling window, and "Redd" is shown as misspelled. If I select the word "Red" from the list of replacements and click "Correct"...

How Do You Pronounce "Nisus?"

This is, without a doubt, the most frequently-asked question we hear. If you refer to your Nisus Writer manual or your nearest unabridged dictionary, you can confirm that nisus is an ordinary English word deriving from the Latin <i>Niti</i> meaning "a striving, effort, or endeavor." It is ...
