Leader tabs allow you to have repeating characters (for example, dashes), a repeating pattern of characters (for example, periods and spaces), or a graphic underline that extends from whatever is on the left to the the text at the tab. For example, The First Chapter . . . . . . . . . . . 5 The Secon...

I believe this will be fixed in the next version. As a temporary measure, do you see the two faint horizontal lines at the bottom of the palette? If you drag those upward, the palette will change shape and, at a certain point, the Family field will change form. Does that help you for the time being?...

I wish I knew how to get your 410-page document back as it was before it vanished. I don't know what happened or how you can recover. Is it possible that you saved it accidentally with a .pl (Perl) or .nwm (Nisus Writer Macro) extension accidentally and searched for it with an .rtf (or .doc) extensi...

In my experience, you should be able to. However, those corner handles aren't the way to do it. Just hover the pointer over the right edge of the table for a moment until it becomes vertical line with arrows pointing left and right, then drag. Or better yet, use the Fit to Page button in the Table C...

Pretty much the same way you would set them in Draft View or Page View. You'll need to show the ruler if it isn't showing (Edit > Ruler). Because of the style-list column, the full margin-to-margin ruler might not fit in the window. You can double-click a ruler droplet and set its position that way....

Here is a very simple macro you could use to change SCHOOL to SCH when it occurs just before a return (i.e., at the end of a paragraph) but not in the middle of a line. I used the text replacement template supplied by Nisus and changed only two lines. Modify the macro to your heart's content. #Nisus...

I think that this could be done with Perl. But I couldn't tell you how to write the Perl macro. I'm less certain that AppleScript could do what you want, but I'm certainly no AppleScript expert. The downside to using Perl, as I understand it, is that at this point in time it will strip out formattin...

There was a brief exchange on this problem here. The workaround was to put a white "English" character between the Hebrew and the number. Obviously this is not ideal. Any other ideas out there?
