Need some quick help - need a macro for extracting a list
Hey all, I've got a book due at the publisher and I've used list style to indicate the illustrations like this: [ 5 Fig 1 ] Caption of image Could one of you macro geniuses help me out with a macro to extract the each Fig and place on a separate document. Like I mentioned I'm using a list style at L...

Re: Open a file via Link
Okay, okay so your code is way more sexy than my code. What, you do this for a living or something? I replaced my macro with what you did, it works much better, not having to enter a name speeds things up considerably.
Thanks for that Martin. Also thanks for the tip.

Re: Open a file via Link
Here ya go Steve. I still haven't solved the problem of getting the target file to open. If anyone would like to improve on what I've done, please do. I'm not a programmer so there are probably better ways to approach this. all the best Lou #NisusMacroProperty Name: File Link Require Application Ver...

Re: Weird paragraph style behavior with TOC
My pleasure Martin. If anyone is interested; a piece I wrote in Nisus Writer for the National Geographic Assignment blog about hackers has been getting a lot of attention since it posted. You can check it out here: http://nationalgeographicassignmentblog.com/2010/08/06/the-hackers-life-my-weekend-at...

Hamid and mrennie - thank you both for the replies and the education. Now that I know how it works I'm even more impressed with NWP.

Re: Weird paragraph style behavior with TOC
Okay y'all, Hamid gets the free cocktails today. That was indeed the problem. Well done Hamid, and thanks for being involved. I'm sure Martin will be happy to know that it doesn't seem to be a bug.

Re: Weird paragraph style behavior with TOC
Hamid,
Mine says Heading 1 - maybe that's the problem. Can you or someone explain what that "Next Style" setting does or is. My settings were based on what was the default template that came with NWP.
I'll play around with that setting and write back.
thanks

Re: Weird paragraph style behavior with TOC
Okay, el monkey was able to reproduce the bug; 1. New Document 2. TOC Navigator Showing 3. Switch Paragraph Style to Heading 1 and type a few syllables 4. Type a Carriage Return 5. Switch to Paragraph Style Normal and type a bit. 6. Select all and delete. 7. Cursor is left in Heading 1 state - type ...

I'll try the same. I got underwater with an assignment, but I can monkey around with this over the weekend.

Weird paragraph style behavior with TOC
Hey all, I have my Paragraph Style Heading 1 set to bold and align center. After typing the text I need in the Heading 1 style, I type a CR and then switch to Normal style and type away. Sometimes the text from the normal style ends up in the TOC in the Navigator. The only way to avoid this is to en...

Re: Would you want Nisus Writer to support the ePub file format?
I would love it if Nisus would support an e-pub export. I don't think an import is necessary, at least from my perspective. But I have a short book that will be ready to e-publish in about a month. Use me as Guinea Pig if you like. That would be awesome. As in I'd buy you all a beer awesome. thanks ...
