Distinguishing Between Undefined and Default Attributes

Post by rcgordon »

One of the problems that I am finding with NW Pro macros is that there does not seem to be a clear delineation between undefined attributes (Any Font, Any, Size, Any Text Color, Any Font Style, etc.) and the attributes of the default text style.

NW Classic was very clear in this respect. I'd appreciate some clarification of how to distinguish one against the other.

I can see the problem.

Currently attributes in macros behave exactly as they do in regular files, eg: an attribute applied to text only persists as long as it is different from the attributes generated by styles (or the "default" if you have no styles).

I'll file a report to have this changed so attributes in Macros behave as they do in the Find & Replace dialog, eg: a none/default attribute value persists until it is explicitly removed.
