A macro for a playwright

I have no idea whether this can be done, but I thought I would ask.

Suppose I am writing in the Style "Character." I can set it so if I press enter, it goes to Style" Dialogue." My question is: is there anyway to set it so that if I hit Tab at the end of the line, it would go to the style Parenthesis?

Just curious. Thanks.

I don't think there's any way for such a thing to be accomplished. You would however be able to construct a macro that applies such a "Parenthesis" style to all desired bits of text after the document has been finished. Let me know if that's something you might be interested in.

I believe you can somewhat accomplish this by setting up a style for various formats

and then give it a keystroke

for example

cmd '1' creates Character (bold, center) on return converts to 'dialog' style
cmd '2' = dialog (indented margin, unbold)
cmd '3' = direction (different incent, italics)

what you can do is make it so you have a different style on return

You can set this up by going to view/style sheet. I would suggest you base these on normal, and set normal up to what you want it to be (georgia, 12 pt, align left)

I am not going to go into too much detail, if you have questions let me know

once you set up the style pick next style and a short cut.
