Text alignment

Post by JKing »

I've just downloaded the trial version and am evaluating it. So far, I'm very pleased. One problem--In a header--I want my book title aligned left and I want my page numbers aligned right. I haven't found anyway to split the alignment. It's all left or all right. I could use tabs to move the page number over, but since the page numbers will be single digits, then double and triple, it won't be a true right alignment. Any suggestions?

Hi,

you can only use one kind of alignment per paragraph. Here's what I would do: make sure the alignment is set to left, write your title, then create a tab by clicking on the ruler. The new tab appears as a black arrow inside the ruler. Double-click it, then set its kind to "right" in the dropdown menu. Now drag the tab to the far right side of the ruler. You can now hit the tab key, and the cursor will automatically move to the position that has been specified by the tab you've created.
