He's just trying to help- please don't be rude to the other forum members. Spelling is a very common topic and all the available options are laid out in the user guide. You could obtain the necessary information much quicker there than waiting for anyone to reply here.

That said, it would make more sense for the spelling window to start with the selected word instead of the first following the selection. I'll file a bug.
