How do I align the text?

Post by germanix » 2009-12-08 03:26:06

Could anyone please explain to me how to align the text. I am used to working in Pages or Word and when I want to align the text there are buttons that I click to either move the text to align to the left or right of the page or I can center the text in the middle of the page. I cannot seem to find out how this happens in Nisus. All I want is to be able to write a piece of text, whether on the page or in a column and tell it to align to the middle or right/left. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are a couple of ways to align text in Nisus Writer Pro (NWP). The easiest to explain is via the menus: just select the paragraph(s) you want to affect and use one of the menus under Format > Paragraph Alignment.

You can also use the alignment buttons near the top of the "Paragraph" palette, which is by default shown in the Formatting palette group (the one with the "T" icon). That palette can also be made to float freely via the menu Window > Palettes > Paragraph.

Hi martin, I thank you very much for helping me here. Sometimes one cannot see the wood for the trees. The answer was there all the time right in front of my eyes and I did not see it. Thanks again and have a nice day.
