Inserted field e.g. Filename and Path: how to copy this text

Post by jtranter »

I've inserted the field
Insert > Document Property > File Path
at the top of a NP file.
How do I copy that information -- that is, the path and filename of that document -- and paste it into another document in another program, say into an email I wish to send?
Using copy and paste, the result is the text "None".
I'm guessing that the field variables need to be converted to plain text.
Thanks

Hi John, you can copy that kind of information verbatim (without copying the "smarts" that update the text to say "None" in a different context), by using the menu Edit > Copy > Copy Text Only.
