Table question

Hi,

(BTW, thanks for Nisus: I'm beginning to really love it, and appreciate all the work that has gone into it.)

When I create a new table, the first row of the table ends up with some space above it. As an example, here's a new document with two columns to demo:

My guess is that it's something to do with my template and formatting, rather than a flaw in the tables engine. But I can't figure out what I should change to make the top rows align with each other.

Cheers,
Lyndon

You can adjust the vertical (and horizontal) displacement of a table as follows:
  • "Select" the table so that the little blue corners appear
  • Hover the cursor over the desired edge of the tableā€”top for vertical, left for horizontal
  • When the "hand" cursor appears, click and drag the table to the desired location
I think Nisus inserts tables with a slight amount of vertical displacement (down), which becomes noticeable in your case since the second column is a continuation of a single table, and therefore Nisus "jams" it all the way up to the margin.

Excellent, that worked. Thank you!
