Move Files Within Document Manager

Post by loulesko » 2017-03-19 14:10:15

Hi there

I never thought to move files between folders in the Document Manager, so I tried today and got a permissions error. The files are being moved between folder groups.

Is there a way to give the DM permission to allow me to move files?

Thanks
Lou

Hi Lou,

the DM has 3 types of groups, but I take it you are talking about the folder groups, where the groups are based on actual Finder folders. It seems that when one tries to drag a file from one folder to another, the system throws an error. This is probably related to sandboxing, but the error happens even for folders that you have explicitly set Nisus to allow access.
One could write a macro to do this. Have the macro show an option list to choose one of the DM folders and then have it move the files selected in the DM to the chosen folder. It's not as nice drag and drop though, so I guess this would be a nice feature request.

Ah - thanks Philip - I thought I was doing something wrong. But your sandboxing error makes perfect sense.

Have a great day.

Lou
