Import Table data from browser as text?

Post by Treebeard 2910 »

Or convert a table to text once it's within the Nisus Writer Pro document?

When I copy and paste a table from my browser/html, it comes into NWP as a table which is often great. But sometimes I need to copy and pate it as text. Looking for a way to accomplish this. Thanks!
I did a search but did not find a corresponding thread.

Have you tried "Paste Text Only" from the Edit menu? It will paste unformatted text only with tabs delimiters.

If you need the formatting, that is, if the text in the table is colored, for example, then do this:

1) Paste the table into Nisus
2) Select the whole table in Nisus (make sure you do it right, see this thread about selecting the whole table correctly)
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6953&p=30635&hilit=hover#p30635
3) Do "Copy Table Text" from the Table menu
4) Paste the formatted text below the first table in Nisus
5) Delete the first table (if you don't need it anymore)
