I hope nobody minds: TOT - news to Denmark, Seekers musical

Post by greenmorpher »

My memory for names is totally failing (never was good, but now it is tending towards non-existent). Do we still have a Denmark connection? The Seekers musical has been launched in Melbourne (of course) "Georgy Girl" -- check the internet.

Has our Danish friend left us?

I have been out of touch for a bit because I am stuck on 2.0.7 with X.6.8 and really had nothing to say. :)

I will soon be upgrading, though -- I already have X.9.4 on the reserve computer! I wonder if that will last me as long -- or if I will last as long as it? :)

Cheers, Geoff

I know nothing of your Danish friend, but is it possible they didn't make the transition from the old Nisus Dartmouth list to the forums? I know some Nisus "old timers" preferred the mailing list format and don't post here.

There might be some upgrade shock coming from OSX 10.6 to 10.9, but I wish you the best of luck! Once you get up to speed I'm sure you'll enjoy the new hardware :)

Thanks Martin, both for your reply and for your allowing me to make a TOT post. The old-timers would know who I am talking about but my old time brain can't recall his name. A great Nisus user and supporter and loved The Seekers and Judy Durham particularly -- maybe even more than he loved Nisus. :)

New hardware? Nope -- my main computer continues o be a 2010 15" hi-re Macbook Pro; my reserv e computer is a 2010 13" Macbook Pro. Just the OS is changing. But I might just get radical in a few months and raid eBay for a mid-2012 model. Nothing like keeping up with obsolescence. LOL.

Would that be Erik Richard Sørensen from the Nisus Dartmouth List?

That jogged my memory, and I thought the relevant account was MacSailor, but it turns out that's Peter Edwardsson, a Swedish user.

I'm not sure if Erik Sørensen ever joined the forums here, but he has been mentioned by name in a post or three.

I don't know if you are still looking, but Erik Richard posted in the Dartmouth mail list on February 17, 2016. :)
