Nisus Email

I love Nisus Email, but, like others, I'm frustrated by its flaws and disappointed that it isn't being developed.
I run version 1.6.1 on OS X 10.4.6
On a number of occasions I've tried to adopt a new email client, but I always come back to Nisus Email because I love its simplicity. If anyone can suggest an alternative that they've been satified with, then please email me.
In the faint hope that someone might develop an update, I've noticed one particular glitch: It doesn't like to run with Graphic Converter. I often have to force Nisus Email to quite when I've been running GC.
