I saw recently that 10.4.9 upgrade is available, but I am not sure if I should install it. I am still on 10.4.6 because of the Nisus Classic program assignment problem.
Generally, I am anxiously waiting to see if Nisus Pro is an upgrade path for Classic (which Express definitely is not). I have thousands of partly complicated Classic files that have to remain editable, and I have been very disappointed that, during all these years of OSX, there was no upgrade path.

Updating to 10.4.9 will not resolve this particular issue. There is a workaround which has been available since 10.4.7 when this problem began, and which can still be used in 10.4.9.

Thank you, Hamid! I did finally upgrade and can confirm that the workaround works well! There were some reports that said it did not work (which is why I hesitated to upgrade), but I had no problem at all.
