Screen format problems in OSX

I have many Nisus Classic documents created back under OS9.

When I open them in Nisus 6.5 under OS 9, everything looks fine.

When I open them under Classic mode in Panther, the screen display has odd spacing, big chunks of white space resembling tab stops but there are no tab stops, the cursor doesn't wind up where you click, line breaks are in the wrong spots. Etc.

Go back to OS 9, everyhting is cool. Back to Classic/Panther, everything screwy again (e.g. the effect is repeatable and consistent).

It's a pain to keep rebooitng every time I need to do word processing, and I'm not giving up Nisus Classic until they pry my cold dead... (etc.)., or until they add a graphic layer to Nisus Express.

Anybody have a clue as to the source of this problem and how I might solve it?

djtet,

I've not seen what you describe. Can you send a screen shot to <support@nisus.com>?

More info on problem

After variously seeing and not seing my problem, I recognize that it only comes in certain conditions: when other programs are already open on screen before starting Classic/Nisus. the culprits seem to be Eudora 6 and/or Word X.

In any event, quitting everything, then restarting Nisus, seems to clean up the problem.

djtet,

I'm glad to learn you've found something of a resolution.
