NWE Creates hundreds of style converting from Nisus 6.5

When I convert a (long hundreds of pages) file from Nisus 6.5 to NWE 2.1.3, it creates hundreds of styles. Specifically, one such file has created Headers styles 1 - 99, List styles 1-76, and Normal styles 1 - 190. Most of these 360+ styles are just not used. This makes NWE painfully slow!! There are only maybe a dozen or so styles in the original.
I'm running OS 10.4.1 on a G4 twin 800 Mhz, 1.5 gigs of main memory, so it's not my Mac that's slow!!
Any idea why this is happening?

Yes, this happens in all versions since 2.0. I keep an old copy of 2.0 around just for converting from all my old Nisus 6.5 files. It's a royal pain, and I hope that 2.5 will kill this bug once and for all.

I've downloaded Nisus 2.5 a3 as an alpha test. And I'm delighted to say that this problem has gone away. So it's been fixed!!

Together with having sorted out the spaces issue with CUT and PASTE, I like the new 2.5 a lot so far. Mind you, it's still go a bit to go on resolving the ruler issues, but it's lots more useable than 2.1.3...
