I'm seeking an example of something that can be accomplished with a Nisus Menu Macro that cannot be accomplished with an Applescript. AppleScript can set the point size of text, tell Nisus Writer Express to open a new document, paste, etc.
So what can AppleScript NOT do that requires a Nisus Menu Macro to do?

hatchmo,
At the moment there is not a lot that the Nisus Macro language can do that AppleScript cannot. We are still working on an interface that will allow the "normal" word processor user (not engineer) to automate their word processing tasks.
That written, I understand that there are some styles that AppleScript can't read/write. Setting the language of the text is certainly one thing it can't do, as well as inserting Section breaks. I'm not sure about paragraph alignment, but I don't think you can do that from AppleScript.
I hope this helps clarify the matter.
