Table in header -- odd behavior

Post by dennisg »

I'm trying to create a template for my book chapters, which means I need to put a lot of information in the header. It seemed like using a table would give me a lot of control over how the info is placed. But I tried inserting an automatic page number in the right-hand cell. Instead of the page number appearing, the word PAGE appeared. When I delete the entire table and try to insert a page number in the header, it inserts the correct number. So, is it impossible to use a table in the header if you want a page number?

Hi Dennis:

Congratulations! You have found one of the first bugs in 2.0! We will fix this as soon as possible. Until then, page numbers, section numbers, and number of pages in section do not work correctly in tables.
