Pasted Web Content Background Color

Post by hatchmo »

How do I get rid of the background color in a block of text pasted from a website?
I'm not talking about the highlight color often attached to an HTML paragraph. That's easily fixed by selecting None from the Nisus highlight menu. I'm not talking about tables, either.
I'm talking about entire blocks of multiple paragraphs that appear with a gray background. Selecting None from the Highlight menu has no effect on these.

Hi Al- background color is a text attribute that we definitely should add a menu to control. In the meantime you'll have to make use of the menu Format > Remove All Attributes Except Styles to clear the coloring.

Well, the good news is that this works. The bad news is that it also removes HTML links from words in the text. Oh, well. Consider this a feature request, then.

Definitely! And if it could be made part of a style, that would be even better!
