Installing NWE 1.1.2

Post by zimsalabim »

Hello guys.

Any idea on this one ?

The target machine isn't connected to the web, so I'm downloading the patch onto an old G3 ivory tower then transferring it over an ethernet connection.

I'm using IE 4.0 so am getting the PHP extension warned about, but even deleting it I can't get no joy. 1.1.1a just won't see it. What am I missing (apart from common sense?). NWE has a function to look for updates directly - is that the only way ?

Hope you can help

The downloaded update is a ful install and you just copy the files 'Nisus Writer' and 'Nisus Thesaurus' into your application folder.

Sorry, Ron.

I've been doing this all along.

If it's any help, the file is called 'GetUpdateRedirect' - and is a Binary file.

Shome mishtake ?

Did you try to rename it to a nwx-v112.dmg ? And how large is the file ? My NWX-v112.dmg is 14.1MB large.
