Nice to be back

Os 10 sort of finished me with Nisus a way back. Nisus was my word processor, graphics and publishing programme.
But Now:
I am glad I have at last returned to the fold. I find most of what I want to do I can do in Nisus Pro Writer
Step by step I have worked through the programme and find that is is so quick and the program is so smooth.
There are a few omissions such as the graphics layer, and the wonderful 2 up imposition of the original pre OS10 Nisus
However with Cheap Imposter (as you suggest) the booklet printing with Nisus is seem-less and even more versatile.
I accept that Nisus is a Word Processor not a publishing program.
I have had a few heart attacks along the way but searching the forums solutions have been found.
The special characters/dingbats/zapf.. I thought I had lost but no, these work well provided I select the font in the font menu before pasting from the Special characters menu.
So in all I am very happy indeed and more importantly it costs only a fraction of indesign. (I hope I am allowed to say that)

Actually, throughout the system, if you open up the "Font Variation" pane at the bottom of the Characters panel, you will be shown all the fonts in which the particular glyph you want is available ... the version in the last font you used the panel for — Zapf Dingbats regular, in your case — will be highlighted in grey . Click on that highlighted glyph, it turns to blue and the "Insert" button changes to "Insert with font" ... no need to switch in and out from the font menu.
