Hi,
While working on an edition on manuscripts I have stumbled over a major issue which I am now trying to solve desperately.
In a nutshell:
I need two footnote blocks or footnote counts, one for notes on the manuscripts (critical apparatus) and the other for extra explanations.
One should be in normal numbering (1....10), the other in true Arabic script.
Is there any possibliity to set up two footnote counts in one text file?
Any hint is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Footnotes (two footnote counts)
haknet,
Nisus Writer Classic only has either footnotes or endnotes and does not support any additional "notes at the bottom of the page" type items. You might, however, be able to use any of the Nisus Writer Classic automatic number tools (check the New Number submenu of the Insert menu and experiment.
I hope this helps.
