The macron is Unicode's 00AF or UTF8's C2 AF.
The modifier letter macron is Unicode's 02C9 or UTF8's CB 89.
I can't get either of them to combine with a "p" to produce a "p" with a line over it. In Lambin's Hebrew grammar, that is how he transliterates the "f" sound for for the letter פ (pe). There must be some way to do this, but maybe I need a combining macron. I can't seem to find one.
How to type the letter "p" with a macron over it?

Oops, I found it. The combining macron is Unicode's 0304 and UTF8's CC 84. Now it works.
