Problem with TOC styles

Post by brsnyder »

I have a document with styles named Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3. I created/edited 3 TOC styles and assigned them to the appropriate heading levels. However, the TOC is not being formatted properly.

Heading 1 and 2 are showing up with the correct styles, TOC1 and TOC2. However, Heading 3 entries is also showing up in the TOC2 style.

I have gone into the TOC and confirmed all the styles are assigned correctly. I have rebuilt the TOC. I have deleted and re-inserted the TOC. But Heading 3 headings are still being assigned to TOC 2.

Can someone help?

Thanks -- Barbara

OK well I figured out the problem. The heading was set to "Include in TOC ==> Level 2." So to create a TOC, I have to manually always tell Nisus which headings are what, I guess. Well, that solves the other problem I asked about as well!
