Bug?: Dragging Text between Table Cells...

Post by scottwhitlock »

Does anyone else have this problem?

Create a table and type some text into any cell. Then try to drag that text into another cell. When I do this, NWE completely freezes up and I have to force quit the program. I've tried this on a couple of documents and the behavior is consistent across them.

I wasn't able to reproduce that problem Scott. Here's the simplest set of steps I followed:

1. New document.
2. Insert 2x2 table.
3. Type the word "red" into the first cell.
4. Select the whole word.
5. Drag and drop it into another cell.

Is there anything that you're doing differently?

Thanks for the reply, Martin. I've narrowed it down to a problem with the com.nisus.NisusWriter.plist file. Obviously I have stored something in my prefs that Nisus didn't like... :)

Any chance you still have the bad file? If so, please send it to me at the feedback address so we can have a look. Thanks!

Martin,

I've figured out that this only happens when I have the Lists pallette floating. Could you try this and see if you can reproduce this?

This happens even with a new plist file.

That's it Scott- I've reproduced it. Excellent work finding that out, I'll have it filed for fixing. Thanks!
