Insert title of doc in footer?

Post by kcheney »

Is it possible to insert the document title in the footer? I haven't been able to find it. Nisus Classic allowed the use of a footer consisting of " [page number] of [total pages] [document title] "

If not, I'd like to ask that this be considered as something to add.

Sorry, but the title of the document is not available as an automatic variable. It has been filed as a feature request.

Automatic Document Naming

Post by hatchmo »

Here is a feature request along the same lines.

I might be dreaming, but I seem to recall that Nisus Classic was able to name a new document automatically upon Save. It would suggest the first line of a document as its title.

This would make a major contribution to my workflow. Please put it somewhere on your list.

Thanks for the thought Al, I'll file a feature request.

One similar feature in Express is the menu File > Save in Document Manager. It will automatically name the document and save it in the Document Manager. I know it's not the same, but I thought I'd mention it as a possible alternative.
