I'm not sure about aliflam, because I'm not familiar with that term (is that the "al-" prefix?), but other special characters like kashidas and diacritics should be ignored by NWP when sorting. However, one caveat: the sorting in automatically generated text indexes use the rules determined by your system language, instead of the language applied to your text.
