More than 1 document opens

I have a number of documents created with Express. When I click on 1 document to open it, several other documents are opened as well. How do I stop this from happening? I only want the one document to open..

The most likely reason that you see more than the single document is because of document restoration. Whenever you launch Nisus Writer it can automatically reopen any documents that were previously open for editing, the last time you used the app. If you don't like this feature you can disable it like so:
1. Open your Nisus Writer preferences to the General pane.
2. Uncheck (turn off) the option "on application launch, restore previously open documents".
