Chapter name in header

I am about to self-publish a book. Maybe I have worked out the solution to this myself or maybe the forum has better ideas.
I want to have the chapter name in the odd-numbered headers.
Do I create a new document section for each chapter, continue numbering across, and create separate headers for each document section? Or is there an automatic way of doing this?
