Neat Use for Hyperlink Feature

One of my favorite features in NWX is the ease with which I can make any word or phrase a hyperlink. But the link doesn't have to be an http:// link to a web location. It can be anything.

You can use it to open folders by clicking on a word. For example, paste into the hyperlink box:

file://localhost/Applications/Nisus Writer/

When you click on that word or phrase in the future, you will be taken to the Finder, where you will find your Nisus Writer folder (inside the Applications folder) is open.

Neat.

Tip: If you simply copy and paste text from a web page, all links will be preserved.

One more thing: You can launch an application from a link in a Nisus Writer document.

To launch TextEdit:
file://localhost/Applications/TextEdit.app

To open your Scripts folder:

file://~/Library/Scripts/

or

file://localhost/Users/yourusername/Library/Scripts/

a valuable treasure
