Program assignment bug made it into 10.4.8

The bug with 10.4.7 which caused NW Classic files to lose their assignment to NW Classic and miraculously appear as "TextEdit files" obviously has made it into 10.4.8. I tried to report it to Apple using their feedback page but didn't get any response yet. It seems to me that there is some kind of politics to not support anything "Classic" any more.
Remarkable way to treat a customer, I'd say.
