Need to add page break

I need to use a global replace to add a page break before a character I've used as a marker (the character is |). I can find the |'s fine, but when I try to replace it with a page break (\f) it just adds "f". Is there any way to put a page break in a replace? Thanks.

Erm ... Greenmorpher ... What's a "Council Page Break"? Sounds like some kind of misdemeanour on the part of our local government representatives
